抄録 The Japan science and Technology Agency has been providing a special program for students in Japan designated as SPP (the Science Partnership Project). SPP started taking on this project eight years ago and is widely regarded as a linkage between senior high schools and colleges. Based on this program, we offered laboratory courses for junior students at Asahikawa West High School in Hokkaido (from the school year of 2008). We also conducted a survey in the form of questionnaire to see whether the programs offered were those what they asked for. We already had preliminary data derived from the course offered in 2008. So we modified several points and tried different ways of experiments carried out in 2010. The students were provided with preparatory courses in advance, not only in order to expand the role of TA as a facilitator of communicative exchanges between students and teachers, but also to use powerful multimedia tools created for complex documents (sound, graphics and animation). As expected, the laboratory course in 2009 turned out to be more effective than that in 2008. Actually, they have great hopes for science and other subjects in their high school days and are, with conviction, preparing for their future. The analyzed data suggest that SPP can play an important role in stopping a current trend in which Japanese students stay clear of learning science, although we, on our side, have to improve ourselves to make this program suitable for them.
