Chen Qi-yuan is a scholar of Shi-jing, representing the Qing Dynasty. His masterpiece "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian" is a great work covering 30 volumes.
The importance of "Mao-shi Ji-gubian" is recognized in history of the Qing Dynasty's study of Shi-jing. However，there is little study on this text itself, and the many problems which is not solved are left behind.
First, the author arranged the complicated forτnation process of "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian", and explained the circumstances of spread by the handwriting of "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian". Moreover, the author arranged the circumstances and the problem of publication of "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian". As a result, the doubt that the arbitrary reorganization was performed to the original text of "Jia-qing 18 issue of Mao-shi Ji-gu bian"--which is the first printed book of "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian"--was found, and it became clear that the "Mao-shi Ji-gu bian" in "Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature" is the text which left the appearance of the original by Chen Qi-yuan clearly.
